So, it's time to make our next stage of cuts to the field. Actually, we already did it a few days ago, but it's time to post about it. As noted in our first cuts post, we created a master list of movies from each year, with sort of loose criteria that we were looking for. Now, we've tried to cut the list to around 20ish per year. We failed. It's like, closer to 25-30 per.
What was our criteria for this process, you ask? All Best Picture nominees made the cut. Then, we chose movies we liked and got rid of movies we didn't really like, or felt weren't deserving. Finally, if we hadn't heard of a movie, we looked it up, checked out the cast, premise, and all that, and then we were like, "sure, let's put it on the list!" or "eh, nah." It's that simple. The theme of this blog is going to be how unscientific it is.
From this point forward, we are going to be watching all of the movies that we have not seen. In this list, if a movie is marked with a "(T)," it means I haven't seen it, and if it's marked with an "(E)," you guessed it, Erin has yet to watch it.
Before we narrow it down to the magic 6 per year and put up a bracket, we are going to watch every single movie on this list. So buckle up, strap in, what-have-you, and come along for the ride. There is going to be CONTENT, people. And don't get mad at me because I haven't seen The Wolf of Wall Street.
