The Best Movie of the 2010s: Phase Two

So unless you live under a rock (or if you don't follow us on Instagram), you know that we finished watching all the movies that  at least one of us had never seen that we had on our list from the 2010s. Those movies ranged from The Social Network to Amour to Logan to Trainwreck to Split, among a total of 165 movies, and we've had an awesome time sitting down and either discovering new movies or finally getting around to great ones we'd never seen. Now that the big chunk of work is in the rear-view mirror, we're onto the next, shorter, final prep phase.

Phase Two of this project is simple: we're going to re-watch movies we had seen prior to this challenge that are either strong contenders to make the bracket or that we aren't sure hold up as well as we might think. It's what we call the Quality Control Phase. We want to be thorough for you! We want to be sure that we aren't viewing movies in our head through a nostalgic lens and that the movies we loved in 2010 (great year), 2011 (woof), and even all the way through to 2019 are as amazing as we remember. We don't want to be like "yeah, we loved Avatar and that CGI was awesome, wasn't it??? Can't wait for the 8 sequels!" And then realize that the movie looks like garbage in 2020 and that literally no one on Earth is asking for an Avatar sequel. One other wrinkle: if it won the Academy Award for Best Picture, whether we liked it or not, if we didn't just recently watch it, it's getting a re-watch.

So, without further ado, here is the final set of movies we are going to re-watch in preparation for our "Best Movie of the 2010s" bracket. We want to hear from you! Let us know what you think of the following movies:
